文中的post-crisis development model就是指后危机年代进步模式，post-crisis （后危机）定义是指发生于2008到2009年的世界financial crisis（金融危机）之后的一个历史时期。后危机年代到来的标志是，欧美实体与金融业好转，新兴国家由于inflationary pressure（通胀重压）常见实行monetary tightening^{1（货币紧缩）。}

在后危机年代，中国应采取积极主动的手段，抵制protectionism in international trade（国际贸易保护主义），提升export product（出口商品）的technological content（科技含量），同时积极地expand domestic demand（扩大内需）。而从中长期来看，需要打造由domestic consumption demand（国内消费需要）拉动的economic development model（经济进步模式），加快向消费大国的转型。
