Latin： for this purpose； for a specific purpose. An ad hoc committee， for example， is created with a unique and specific purpose or task and once it has studied and reports on the matter， it stands disbanded （compare with standing^{1 committee）。}

拉丁文： 特别的， 有特殊目的的，譬如，特设委员会就是指为了某个特定目的， 研报某项专门的事情而设立的委员会，一旦目的达到或任务完成，它就会被解散， 这也是它与常设委员会有什么区别之一。
