专业词汇|put on the dog: 耍派头，卖弄

英语中与狗有关的表达好像有点泛滥成灾，手到擒来的如：a lucky^{1 dog（幸运儿）；TOP dog（当权派）；dog in the manger（占着茅坑不拉大便）。今天谈的to put on the dog表示耍派头；卖弄，它的渊源可追溯到19世纪贵夫人豢养的哈吧狗。}
