I'm so difficult？I'm so hard？都不对！（×）
其实，在表达一件事难办的时候，可以用difficult和hard来表达，但其正确的表达应该是：It's so hard/difficult for me!
而hard和difficult在修饰事物的时候，可以表达“困难的、艰难的”；
但在修饰人的时候，表达的是性格的挑剔或者铁石心肠。
如：
Don't be so difficult!别太挑剔了。
You're a hard man, John.John，你真铁石心肠。
所以，“我太难了” 一般不需要I'm so difficult./I'm so hard. 来表达，而是用My life is so hard/difficult.
除此之外，虽然hard 和 difficult都可以表示“困难的、艰难的”，但它两个也是不同的。
hard question/decision/test.
hard：习惯用来指体力和精神方面所感觉到的困难与艰苦，程度没difficult深，但语气比difficult强，多用于口语。
difficult question/decision/situation/problem etc.
difficult：习惯用来修饰需要运用智慧和方法才能解决的问题，其程度要比hard深。
举个栗子：
It's hard to keep this secret.
非常难守旧这个秘密。We don't think it's difficult to learn a foreign language well .
大家觉得学好一门外语并不难。

1.tough 艰苦的，困难的，坚强的，不屈不挠的
Life is tough, but I'm tougher.
生活非常艰苦，但我更坚强。
She's been having a tough time of it lately.
她近期的日子一直非常难熬。
2.demanding 需要高的，需要技能的，费力的
It is quite demanding.
这个做起来非常费力。
3.hard going 进展困难的
It is very hard going.
