名人诗歌|The Song

来源:www.shbeli.com 2025-03-17

He gracefully1 flew upon my porch

Quite brave and all alone

He perched upon the railing

And made himself at home.

He cocked his head to one side

In the early morning dawn

With curious eye, he gazed at me

Then he flew down on my lawn.

He ruffled2 his feathers and flapped his wings

His song echoed in the breeze

It carried through the morning sky

And joyfully3 filled the trees.

It eased across the budding grass

Then through a sparrow's nest

It brushed a thorny4 rosebush

And never sTOPped to rest.

I felt it touch my own heart

What gladness it did bring

When this little robin5 sang to me

And brought the gift of spring!
