老师，近期读海外动物世界看见一个句子，对于时间状语的使用方法有一点疑问，自己不太懂。

这个句子出于美国动物世界！我想问下、这里in two to four seconds是点时间还是段时间？
另外：这里的动词是respond to这个是动词短语一块作谓语吗？还是要分开理解、即to stimulation作状语？
但不管如何，respond是一个持续性动词，它的时间状语可以是“点时间”吗？
