这个句子的 come back from India 是修饰 man 的后置定语吧？难道不及动词的过去分词也可以作后置定语吗？
不及动词的过去分词原则上不能作后置定语的，但若它遭到副词的修饰有时则可以，如你的句子之所以如此用就是由于 come back fromIndia 前面有副词 just 的修饰。又如：
The plane just arrived isfrom London. 刚到的飞机是从伦敦飞来的。
I visited a scholar just come backfrom Japan.我拜访了一位刚从日本回来的学者。
当然，更一般的表达是用定语从句。如：
A man who has just come backfrom Indiais said to have suffered COVID-19.
The plane which has just arrivedis from London.
I visited a scholar who had justcome back from Japan.
